In partnership with Meta and with support from the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation & Digital Economy and NCAIR Nigeria, the Llama Impact Accelerator is inviting startups, researchers, and tech builders to apply for its accelerator program aimed at scaling impactful AI solutions across Nigeria.
About the Program
The Llama Impact Accelerator is designed for startups advancing innovation in:
- Agriculture (Livestock Innovation)
- Security & Safety (Smart Cities, Environmental Safety, etc.)
- Healthcare (Biogenetics, Diagnostics, Health Access)
- Wild Card (for standout solutions beyond the core focus areas)
Selected teams will participate in a 6-week intensive accelerator featuring hands-on technical training, mentorship, and development support led by industry experts. The program culminates in a Demo Day, where startups will pitch for a chance to win up to $25,000 in equity-free funding. After Demo Day, all participants benefit from six months of tailored post-program support, including access to further funding opportunities from Meta.

Program Structure and Benefits
- 6 Weeks of Accelerator Training: Focused on technical skills, product development, and market readiness.
- Demo Day: Teams present to a panel of judges for a chance to win equity-free funding.
- Funding Prizes:
- 1st Prize: $25,000
- 2nd Prize: $15,000
- 3rd Prize: $10,000
- 6 Months of Post-Program Support: Ongoing mentorship, networking, and exposure to potential partners and policy stakeholders.
- Expert-Led Sessions: Technical training on Llama and opportunities to showcase innovations.
Who Can Apply?
- Startups using Llama to build scalable AI solutions for real-world challenges in the program’s focus areas. You can learn more about Llama here.
- Teams must be based in Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, or Senegal, and may only apply to the program in their country of operation.
- Early-stage prototypes are welcome, provided the team demonstrates strong technical capabilities and a clear development plan.
