Userguest, a Moroccan technology company founded in 2018, has raised €2.2 million (about $2.4 million) in seed funding. The startup’s innovative platform helps hotels increase direct bookings and revenue through automated, personalized messaging.
Al Mada Ventures led the investment round, joined by CDG Invest, Saviu Ventures, UM6P Ventures, Kalys VC, Plug & Play, and business angels Philippe Limes and Thane Kuhlman.
Founded in 2018 by Ahmed Chami, Assil Bernossi, and Hicham Benyebdri, Userguest offers a platform that personalizes messages and incentives for hotel website visitors, significantly increasing direct bookings. Since 2019, Userguest’s technology has been adopted by hotels in over 30 countries, generating more than $100 million in direct revenue. The new funding will support product development, sales team expansion, and strengthening the company’s market position.
Co-founder and CTO Ahmed Chami confirmed that in addition to improving the startup’s current platform, it is also working on a product that will address a critical gap in the market.
“Our aim is to set new standards for innovation in the hotel tech space, providing tools that make it easier for hotels to generate revenue while offering better experiences for travellers,” he added.
As Africa’s hospitality industry is projected to reach $731.4 billion by 2032, companies like Userguest are poised to capitalize on this growth by offering innovative solutions that meet the increasing demand for efficiency and modernization in hotel operations.
