Visa, the second-largest card payment processor in the world has made strategic investments in four African startups, These startups are part of Visa’s biannual Africa Fintech Accelerator program, which launched in June 2023.
Standout Startups from Visa’s Accelerator
Of the 23 startups in the program’s first cohort, four secured funding, This include: Ghana’s Oze (business banking), Nigeria’s Orda (restaurant tech), Kenya’s WorkPay (HR and payroll), and OkHi, which provides address verification services.
What’s next?
The program’s second cohort which include startups like like Raenest, Beem, E-Doc will pitch in a Demo Day scheduled for December 2024, while a third cohort with participating startups like Bumpa, Kredete, WeWire, Umba and 18 others is already underway per Techcabal
